Jorge Luis Moliterni, History "Watami" Episode number 3 !!!
Jorge Luis Moliterni began his career in advertisement, but started working in comics full time from 1957. His early work appeared in periodicals like Hora Cero and Frontera. He alternated with several other artists on Hugo Pratt's 'Ernie Pike' and 'Sargento Kirk' series. He drew the 'Watami' series with scripts by Hector German Oesterheld in Misterix from 1962. In the mid-1960s, Moliterni began working for international publishers and agencies, such as the British Fleetway and the American Charlton Comics (as George Moliterni). In the Italian magazine Il Corriere dei Regazzi, he produced the adventures of Davy Crockett's son 'Bob Crockett' from 1972. Shortly before his death, Moliterni drew several episodes of 'Watami' and 'Los Professinales' for Ediciones Record. Jorge Moliterni died in 1978.
Excelente el blog que inicias Mauro, felicitaciones, siempre es muy conveniente e importante divulgar, en este caso el mundo de la historieta, la obra de famosos argumentistas-guionistas y dibujantes, muchos de ellos lamentablemente desaparecidos, para recuerdo por las viejas generaciones de fans y para el conocimiento de las nuevas.... exitos y perseverancia....

complimenti per il blog, è interessantissimo (come anche quello su Alberto Breccia). Jorge Moliterni è veramente un Maestro dimenticato, anche se ha influenzato altri artisti come Luis Garcia Duran.
ResponderEliminarRecentemente ho scoperto che ha anche disegnato alcuni episodi della serie DC Comics Jonah Hex.
Non sono però riuscito a trovare da nessuna parte la sua data di nascita: si sa quando è nato?

ResponderEliminarHi everyone! Jorge Moliterni is my most loved, favoured artist. I love his work. His drawings are brilliant. Does anyone know how he worked. His process basically, please. Did he use photography/references when drawing etc. Anything would be great insight into a wonderful artist. Many thanks!
